Our American multinational partner is looking for a GL Accounting Manager to join their team.
The ideal candidate should have strong people management experience in a global environment, change management expertise, and fluent English skills.
Your tasks will be as a GL Accounting Manager:
People Leadership & Development
- Lead and support people leaders, acting as a role model and mentor.
- Promote autonomy and ownership while providing direction and encouragement.
- Drive leadership development, succession planning, and performance management.
- Foster a culture that attracts, retains, and engages top talent.
- Ensure effective resource planning and team structure to meet business needs.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring service levels and productivity targets are met.
- Support Operations & Maintenance processes and manage transitions effectively.
- Encourage continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date process documentation and cross-training.
Financial & Compliance Oversight
- Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, GAAP, and local regulations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain governance structures and monitor risk and compliance initiatives.
Stakeholder & Service Management
- Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders at local, regional, and global levels.
- Represent the controllership function and contribute to company-wide process improvements.
- Monitor customer feedback and drive service enhancements to increase satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred, Master’s degree is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop people
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills in English
- Confident user of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to establish and maintain productive and collaborative work relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to plan, lead, and implement changes as necessary
- Continuous improvement mindset (LEAN Six Sigma is an advantage)
- Strategic thinking and planning
- Understand the interface of finance processes and technologies
- Deep understanding of controls in a BSC environment
