Our multinational partner company in Biatorbágy is looking for a Chief Accountant colleague, who will effectively supervise the key areas of the business operations and manage the accounting team of 8.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum 8 years of accounting experience and a minimum 3 years of management experience.

Your tasks will be as a Chief Accountant:
• Managing the insourced Accounting & Tax team of accountants
• Maintaining accounting records of all Hungarian companies belonging to the company by the Hungarian accounting law, MS AX (Axapta)
• Maintaining A/R recovery & monitoring process, managing A/P
• Close cooperation with HQ Accounting & Tax team
• Preparing group consolidation package under IFRS
• Maintaining the process of:
o Invoicing
o Fixed Assets G/L, Masterfile
o Incoming invoices
o A/R, A/P sub-ledger maintenance
• Ensure that for all types of taxes, the companies are fully compliant with the applicable Hungarian tax laws (except payroll taxes), and ensure that all tax filing is completed professionally and in good quality within the statutory due dates.
• Preparation of monthly VAT returns and submission, Corporate Income Tax calculation
• In the case of tax audits, the coordination with the Hungarian Tax Authorities
• Coordinate the cash management in cooperation with the CFO
• Yearly statutory audit support, answer audit-related questions
• Cooperate with the Controlling in reviewing monthly financial reports
• Coordination of the annual audit, and the timely completion and filing of the HAS annual reports
• Timely delivery of audited statutory financial statements
• Update the local accounting policy
• Provide professional coordination of all accounting employees
Requirements:
• Economics Degree (Bsc/Msc) in Accounting
• 3-5 years of chief accounting experience
• HAAS knowledge and experience is a must (+IFRS is an advantage)
• Chartered Accountant qualification is a must (with registration number)
• Good English knowledge
• Advanced MS Office knowledge
• Strong organizational skills
