We are looking for an experienced sales engineer colleague who will play an active role in building our client's new business unit, working closely with the managing director in Hungary and the regional sales team as well.

The future colleague will be responsible for introducing several new, high-end products to the Hungarian market, including the following portfolio: monitoring systems, and tools for partial discharge analysis, rotating machines.

Our client has a global presence with nearly 40 sales offices, serving utilities, industrial companies, and contractors, and has a stable, more than 30-year presence in Hungary.

Your Role:

  • Plan and execute sales strategies, manage activities, forecast, and handle opportunities
  • Preparation of offers and contracts (clarification of technical, legal, commercial details)
  • Travel for customer visits, provide technical support, present to customers, and attend trade fairs
  • Work closely with regional sales managers and other teams to support customers and our strategies
  • Requesting quotations, negotiating with subcontractors

Your Profile:

  • Educational Background: BSc degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with technology in the electrical power industry and high voltage testing (motors, generators, switchgear, cables, transformers)
  • Desired language skills: Native Hungarian AND Advanced English
  • Prior experience in sales with testing and measurements in power systems or similar technology
  • Strong social skills, value selling, good communication and presentation abilities, strategic thinking, and multitasking
  • Strategic thinker, and able to apply your skills to meet goals
