SAP Finance/FICO Developer

Join a key European development and manufacturing hub within a leading international group, specializing in automotive electronic components, based in Szombathely.

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer to design, develop, and maintain ABAP solutions tailored for our FI/CO requirements. This role involves working on classical reports, module pools, BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, RFCs, and enhancements, as well as implementing and maintaining various interfaces and integrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP Fiori/UI5 app development, OData services, and will be instrumental in adapting and modernizing custom code for S/4HANA migrations.

Day-to-day of the role:

Design, develop, and maintain ABAP solutions for FI/CO requirements including classical reports, module pools, BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, RFCs, and enhancements.
Implement and maintain interfaces and integrations such as IDoc/EDI, RFC, web services, PI/PO/CPI, and OData/SAP Gateway, focusing on integrations required for tax reporting and external systems.
Develop and maintain SAP Fiori/UI5 apps, OData services, and Fiori launchpad entries for finance scenarios.
Adapt and modernize custom code for S/4HANA migrations including ABAP on HANA, CDS views, AMDP, and RAP; perform code remediation and compatibility checks.
Troubleshoot and optimize performance of finance-related developments focusing on SQL tuning, memory, and buffering.
Support change and incident management by analyzing technical incidents in FI/CO and implementing fixes.
Prepare technical design specifications, conduct unit tests, and participate in integration and user acceptance testing.
Collaborate with functional FICO consultants and business departments to translate requirements into robust technical solutions; coordinate with external service providers to ensure delivery quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong ABAP skills including OO-ABAP, classical ABAP, ALV, BAPI, RFC, BADI's, and IDoc handling.
Experience with S/4HANA development topics and migration activities.
Proficiency in SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData service development.
Experience with integrations and interfaces to external tax/e-invoicing solutions; familiarity with SAP DRC is desirable.
Understanding of accounting and controlling business processes.
Good debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to produce clear technical design documentation from functional specifications.
Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.
Several years of experience in SAP Finance (FI/CO) environment and hands-on SAP Development experience.
