Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the delivery and evolution of a strategic banking platform. The role involves gathering and managing business requirements, supporting platform redesign initiatives, and collaborating closely with business, development, QA, and IT teams to deliver scalable technology solutions within a complex banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, business rules, User Stories, and Epics.
- Analyze business processes and identify improvement opportunities across multiple business units.
- Define and document data requirements, data lineage, and data governance frameworks for banking products.
- Act as a subject matter expert for banking product data and support data-related analysis and research activities.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to document application architecture, refine test plans, and support testing activities.
- Support audit requests related to business processes and technology implementations.
- Identify, manage, and resolve project issues, risks, dependencies, and scope changes.
- Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and technology teams.
- Lead requirement gathering workshops and drive business analysis activities from discovery through implementation.
- Perform impact analysis, scope estimation, and backlog management.
- Create and maintain Product Backlogs, User Stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Identify integration points and ensure alignment across systems and teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner within a large banking organization or consulting environment.
- At least 5 years of experience working in Agile environments (Scrum and/or Kanban).
- Strong experience documenting requirements for REST-based API platforms.
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
- Experience mapping and documenting complex end-to-end business processes.
- Good understanding of technology environments, applications, platforms, and databases.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Spring Framework, databases, and Java-based environments.
- UNIX and scripting knowledge.
- Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem technologies (HDFS, Hive, Impala, Spark).
- Experience with Scala, Spark, or PySpark.
- Knowledge of Kafka, MQ, and streaming platforms.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Angular.
