A Hungarian-owned, internationally recognized technology company specializing in research and development is seeking a new Sales Manager to join its team.

For over two decades, the company has been transforming laboratory chemical processes to make research safer and more efficient worldwide.

In this role, you will lead a small sales team (3 people) while actively participating in sales operations and representing the company externally. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on business development responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies; identify new business opportunities
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team (local and remote as well – there is a US based team member as well)
  • Conduct market analysis and introduce new sales methodologies
  • Represent the company at international industry events; build professional networks
  • Take ownership of business models and financial planning
  • Actively participate in day-to-day sales activities
  • Manage distributor networks and maintain relationships
  • Launch new products and develop go-to-market strategies
  • Monitor KPIs and performance metrics
  • Focus on people management and team development (~30%)
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team
  • Use Salesforce CRM on a daily basis

 

Requirements:

  • University or college degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in sales
  • Experience in international sales (preferably with exposure to US or UK markets)
  • Proven track record in managing distributor networks
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
  • A degree in chemistry or a strong background/interest in the chemical industry is preferred
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally
