Physical Security Officer

The Physical Security Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating the company’s physical security and related safety matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves supporting the development and maintenance of the company's physical security framework, overseeing the implementation of security measures, and contributing to a secure, compliant, and well-controlled operational environment. The officer will also perform duties as the TÜK Security Officer.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Security Management and Governance:
    • Support compliance with regulatory requirements and internal physical security policies.
    • Carry out duties of the TÜK Security Officer as specified in relevant laws and the Bank's internal regulations.
    • Draft and propose updates to internal regulations related to physical security and classified information.
    • Participate in security risk assessments and monitor the effectiveness of security measures.
    • Prepare and report on security matters to the Bank’s management and regulatory authorities.
  2. Physical Security Operations:
    • Perform and coordinate inspections of physical security systems including access control, CCTV, alarms, fire safety, and server room protection.
    • Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills and incident follow-up.
    • Evaluate and select external security service providers, ensuring compliance with internal security requirements.
    • Regularly review and maintain physical security procedures and guidelines.
  3. Coordination and Awareness:
    • Implement IT-related physical security measures in coordination with relevant functions.
    • Ensure consistent application of physical security controls across all systems and facilities.
    • Coordinate with internal and external partners on security-related matters.
    • Support training and continuous improvement of security practices.
  4. Continuous Improvement:
    • Contribute to the enhancement of the Bank’s physical security management practices.
    • Support audit processes and follow up on required actions.

Expected Qualifications:

  • Degree in police or military studies, or a university degree in information technology or security with a higher-level professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years in security or protection, with at least 1 year in handling or protection of classified information in Hungary, or having passed relevant examinations.
  • Fluent in Hungarian and English.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, capable of working effectively in a cross-border environment.
