Our fast-growing multinational partner is providing added value in supply chain solutions worldwide and currently looking for a Buyer to their great Procurement &Supply Chain team.
What you will be doing as a Buyer:
- Manage all transactional procurement activities for Program and Discrete item replenishment for assigned service centers, customers, and/or supplier lines.
- Issue purchase orders or internal transfers to fulfill customer backorders
- Daily review of critical items below reorder points, backordered, or stocked out for all assigned service centers, customers, and/or supplier lines.
- Meet or exceed defined fill rates for stocked items.
- Follow strategic sourcing initiatives by utilizing preferred sources and contract pricing whenever possible.
- Meet or exceed inventory turns targets by effectively managing purchase orders delivery dates and release schedules.
- Ensure accuracy of replenishment system data
- Assist in resolution of supplier invoice discrepancies to ensure payment within negotiated terms.
- Manage the return process for non-conforming receipt issues
- Control Supplier On-Time Delivery by managing early/late deliveries
- Improve Margins and control negative Purchase Price Variance by negotiating lowest possible acquisition cost
- Assist in disposition of obsolete inventory by looking for opportunities to return to vendor or transform to an active part through rework or secondary processing.
- Commitment to environmental protection and compliance with occupational health and safety management system rules.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-5 years of professional purchasing/buying experience preferred
- Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel. Proven ability to create complex formulas (v-lookup, if/then statements, etc.) and build pivot tables.
- Effective communication skills
- Solid mathematical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hungarian.
