On behalf of our multinational partner from the production sector we are searching for candidates for the following position

Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quality of materials is in accordance with specifications, requirements of reliability, quality and control
  • Main interface between the supplier and production
  • Develop plans for IQA inspection by defining inspection criteria, equipment used, techniques applied for samples.
  • In case of non-conformity of a product, raw material or semi-finished product to initiate production stop, quarantine and release the affected parts.
  • Ensure line rejects are clearly dispositioned according to the failure categories and clearly identified, handled and stored as a non-conformance material.
  • Provide RMA / FA(8D) requests to suppliers.
  • Drive non-conformance material RMA & close loop failure analyses with supplier.
  • Verification of the supplier FA(8D) effectiveness
  • Managing supplier relations in all aspects of quality Inc. hosting visits to Lenovo mfg. site
  • Overview of supplier’s activity in Vendor mall (FA, sorting, rework)
  • Ensure supplier’s testing equipment’s are regularly maintained to latest specifications.
  • Cooperation with joint areas / Keeping connection with logistics, production and technical departments
  • Prepare / present performance metrics (KPI’s) to the local management & WW Quality team
  • Continuous supervising of the blocked stock and blocked aged stock
  • Participating in the quarterly and annual inventories
  • Keeping connection and cooperation with forwarders
  • Drive quality culture & operational excellence

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with min 3 years of experience as Supplier Quality Engineer.
  • Working knowledge of applicable quality standards (ISO 9001& 14001) and quality tools (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, FMEA, SPC,5S, Pareto Analysis, Gage R&R & Control Plans)
  • Proficient knowledge of PC/Server products (hardware & software) is an advantage
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and meet deadlines in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Self-starter / Self-directed. Capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Well organized, able to prioritize and high capacity to solve problems;
  • Excellent presentation skills, with verbal and written communication abilities;
  • High technical skills, analytical, able to assimilate information and draw conclusions quickly
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Fluent in English & Hungarian
