Senior Statutory Accountant

Job description

 Our partner is a multinational company in the real estate industry. They are looking for a Senior Statutory Accountant colleague for their growing team, with flexible working hours.

As a Senior Statutory Accountant have to support the statutory, and group audits, the preparation and review of the statutory financial statements for the UK entities, and partnering with external and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should have 4+ years of experience in audit, or accounting, and have fluent English knowledge.

Your tasks will be as a Senior Statutory Accountant:
• Manage the statutory audit processes, including coordination between the auditors, outsourced providers in India, the business, and retained finance across the clusters as the key contact for external Auditor.
• Improve the process to minimize the cost of SFS production, review, and audit including optimization of system functionality and automation and ensuring the best use of the FSC.
• Responsible for managing on-time delivery and quality of overseas branch final reconciled Trial Balances and supporting documentation.
• Proactively manage external Auditor, ensuring that all PBC deliverables are delivered on time.
• Manage responses to audit queries and findings.
• Support the CIT (Corporation Tax) computation process that is owned by the in-house Tax department.
• Support legal entity rationalization projects, providing technical accounting guidance as required.
• Provide intercompany balance confirmations to support local overseas audit requirements.
• Create efficiencies through continuous improvement of processes.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks

Requirements:
• 4-5 years of experience in accounting, or audit
• Excellent communication in English
• Strong technical accounting skills. IFRS (FRS101) Essential, USGAAP desirable
• Proven project management skills to facilitate coordination of key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, a ‘key thinker’ who manages deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in complex accounting entries.
• Workday (ERP) and Hyperion (HDM) experience is desirable.
• Experience working in a large, global company is desirable.
• Experience working in an outsourced Finance environment would be an advantage.
