Lead Accountant (9.district, 3 days in the office/months)

Our American multinational partner company, which is supporting their clients in different areas, is looking for a Lead Accountant colleague for their team.

The ideal candidate should have minimum 4 years of GL/RTR accounting experience in a multinational environment, and English knowledge.

Your tasks will be as a Lead Accountant:

  •   Reviews BS reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Provide professional, technical guidance, support to the team members
  • Coordinates statutory and internal audits
  • Managing/ overseeing the day to day GA activities carried out in SSC including issue/ problem resolution as necessary
  • Delivers functional trainings to new hires, creates training plans for them and assists in delivering ongoing trainings to existing team members
  • Responsible for day-to-day functional supervision of the team, training, providing input for employee evaluation to the Team Leader
  • Providing a control function to ensure all entries are adequate and are compliant with company policies
  • Executing internal control procedures; ensuring all relevant Internal Audit and BC guidelines are followed. Completing all activities in a timely manner and in accordance with the country’s SLA and track necessary data needed for KPI reporting purposes
  • Prioritise issues and identify potential courses of action; researching and resolving processing problems
  • Acting as a coach/mentor to support each company in the development of long term innovation management
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities, issues and actively participate in related projects
  • Maintains quality service by monitoring standards, advising supervisor of potential problems
  • Creating, reviewing standard SOP’s, process maps for General Accounting processes
  • Assisting in month end closings, preparing reports and booking accounting entries in the general ledger of the Client companies
  • Build strong relationship and actively communicate with key internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant Certification or University/ College degree with qualification in Finance/ Accounting or Business Administration
  • Minimum 4-5 years relevant experience in General Accounting 
  • Fluent English knowledge
  • ERP knowledge (Oracle, SAP etc.)
  • Excellent MS Excel skills; good knowledge of other MS Office applications
  • Good time management and organizational skills
