GL Accountant ( German speaking)
Our multinational partner company is looking for a German speaking GL Accountant.

Job summary:
- Be involved in day-to-day operations in the following process areas (not exhaustive)
- Manage Manual & Semi automatic postings
- Calculate inventory adjustments, reconcile reports, calculate provisions
- Post inventory adjustments
- Balance Sheet: Banking
- Bank statement posting to GL accounts
- FX transaction and perform posting
- Decide on Accounting treatment for deferred items, perform postings
- Accrual and provision management
- Roll forward schedule of accruals, perform posting
- Manage Profit & Loss, HR expenses
- General Ledger Closing, Reconciliation of GL and sub-ledgers
- Month end controls, Prepare documentation for auditor/tax authorities
- Responsible for internal audit controls
- Be adherent to agreed service levels, policies and procedures
- Identify, evaluate and resolve issues (incl. process improvements)
- Engage in collaboration with the business and stakeholders to develop a professional relationship
- Provide qualitative customer service
- Ensure that all process manuals/relevant work instructions are created and updated on a regular basis
Requirements:
- University degree in Economics or Finance with major in accounting or equivalent qualification
- Very good English and German language skills (written and spoken)
- 1+ years of experience in accounting (primarily GL)
- Transition experience is beneficial
- Very good understanding of the GL processes
- Continuous Improvement and Quality mindset
- Strong customer orientation
- Very good knowledge of SAP FI
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and prioritize the right things at the right time
- Excellent communication skills
