Our German multinational partner company is looking for a French speaking GL Accountant colleague for their growing SSC.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of GL accounting experience, and fluent English and French knowledge.

Your tasks will be as GL Accountant:
- Support the transition of General Ledger processes from European entities to Hungary
- Responsible for periodical Finance closing processes MEC and YEC
- Asset accounting and IFRS 16 lease accounting
- Accruals and provisions booking
- Balance sheet account reconciliation with subledger
- Preparation of journal documentation for internal-external audit request
- Intercompany and SAP@KONS reconciliation
- Intrastat reporting
- Proactive collaboration with AP and AR departments
- Creating and updating DTP-s and process documentation
- Participate in projects assigned to the role (incl. Process optimization support).
- Follow rules and regulations and ensure KPIs are met.
- Provide qualitative customer service.
- Be adherent to agreed service levels, policies and procedures
- Engage in collaboration with the business and stakeholders to develop a professional relationship
Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in GL Accountant position.
- Proven track record in process optimization
- High proficiency in the end-to-end R2R process
- Professional working knowledge in English and French
- Complete familiarity with Microsoft Office or equivalent tools
- User level experience with SAP FI
- Experience in process automation
- Strong continuous improvement & quality mindset
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
- Ability/willingness to travel - once circumstances allow to do so
