American electrical distributor and electronics manufacturing company is looking for a Commodity Leader for its expanding team. Our partner has a stable presence in the market operating in 150 locations around the globe with more than 2,500 employees. They are about to extend their team and operation focusing not only on their existing supplier base, but also on acquiring new suppliers.

What you will be doing as a Commodity Leader:
• Proactively follow market indexes that affect the assigned commodity
• Participate in the implementation of the global sourcing strategy
• Coordinating activities inside the Sourcing department and manage a smaller team of Commodity Specialists
• Identify potential suppliers for new components and deploy supplier selection processes with final recommendations
• Lead negotiations with potential new suppliers
• Management of existing supplier portfolio
• Framing and driving commodity strategy
• Build and deliver yearly plan to meet business goals including cost savings through negotiaton
• Coordinate as required escalation and resolution of risks that could impact operational performance for the segment

Requirements:
• Fluency in English
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 Years of Experience in Sourcing / Supply Chain / or Procurement field
• Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of any ERP system is an advantage
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
• Experience negotiating costs, lead time and minimums
