Your tasks will be as a Centralized Statutory Controller:
- Involved in the preparation and production of the statutory accounts for the company in various countries
- Manage and control the reviews of statutory accounts per legal entity
- In close contact with all offices & the outsourcing partner to monitor, review, and advise on the preparation of the entity’s statutory accounts
- Coordinating the preparation of statutory audit files
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely audit sign-off of statutory accounts and be responsible for timely tax filings
- Ensure financial deadlines are met in compliance with the company and local legislation
- Provide regular updates to the management on the status of statutory filings
- Prepare annual statutory reconciliations as needed
- Drive process improvement and streamline current practices
- Ensure that all relevant key controls are in place and functioning properly in accordance with internal policies and procedures and Sarbanes Oxley rules and regulations
- Work with external auditors during annual reviews
- Assist with tax inquiries.
- Manage the administration tasks of the statutory reporting tool
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
- Big 4 experience is a plus
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in statutory/accounting/audit
- Experience in the preparation of statutory financial statements
- Demonstrate strong and up-to-date accounting skills (US GAAP/IFRS)
- Fluent in English
