Centralized Statutory Controller

Job description

Our multinational partner company is looking for a talented Statutory Controller colleague.

Key Responsibilities:
• Involved in the preparation and production of the statutory accounts for the company in various countries
• Manage and control the reviews of statutory accounts per legal entity
• In close contact with all offices & the outsourcing partner to monitor, review and advise on the preparation of the entity’s statutory accounts
• Coordinating the preparation of statutory audit files
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely audit sign-off of statutory accounts and be responsible for timely tax filings
• Ensure financial deadlines are met in compliance with the company and local legislation
• Provide regular updates to the management on the status of statutory filings
• Prepare annual statutory reconciliations as needed
• Drive process improvement and streamline current practices
• Assist with ad hoc requirements from the management.
• Ensure that all relevant key controls are in place and functioning properly in accordance with internal policies and procedures and Sarbanes Oxley rules and regulations
• Work with external auditors during annual reviews/audits by preparing information requests and addressing inquiries
• Assist with tax inquiries.
• Manage the administration tasks of the statutory reporting tool

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• CPA, ACCA (or equivalent) is an advantage
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a broad range of general/statutory accounting functions
• Experience in preparation of statutory financial statements
• Ability to be aware of the audience and adapt message and communication style accordingly
• Experience with SAP, HFM, and Longview is a strong plus
• Demonstrate strong and up-to-date accounting skills (US GAAP/IFRS)
• Proven record of a strong understanding of general accounting principles, concepts, and processes to be able to form an opinion on accounting and process matters
• Excellent business English language skills both oral and in writing
