On behalf of our partner, we are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Tester who will play a key role in the planning, execution, and coordination of automated testing activities within complex enterprise and banking environments.
The position requires strong technical expertise, high autonomy, and close cooperation with development teams throughout the full testing lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design of test cases and administer them in Jira XRAY
- Take part in the preparation, coordination, execution, and documentation of automated IT tests for banking systems involved in the project
- Own and coordinate the timely creation of test plans and automated test cases for ongoing developments
- Document identified defects and issues during testing, report them to relevant stakeholders, and actively support problem resolution with technical expertise
- Analyze application logs and support project work with database‑side queries when required
- Register identified defects in the issue‑tracking system
- Ensure accurate administrative reporting of work in line with applicable internal regulations
- Maintain close cooperation with developers during testing and defect‑fixing activities
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in application development and/or test automation
- Solid knowledge of test automation tools such as Katalon Studio, JMeter, SoapUI, Postman, WebDriver, Cucumber (Gherkin), Cypress, or similar
- Hands‑on experience with multiple test automation and/or RPA tools
- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, executing, and maintaining automated test cases
- Ability to interpret and evaluate application logs
- Experience in performance testing
- Ability to independently handle complex testing tasks
- Strong communication skills and experience working closely with development teams
- Knowledge of SQL‑based database management systems (e.g. MS SQL, Oracle)
- Programming experience in at least one language such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or C++
Project‑specific requirements:
- Experience in automated testing of REST and SOAP APIs
- Test framework development experience (Java knowledge is required)
- Experience in automated bulk test data generation
- Experience with mocking functionalities
- Hands‑on experience in performance testing
