On behalf of one of our partners, we are looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to support and guide the payroll function.

The role involves overseeing payroll operations, coordinating and monitoring regular data audits, and managing the setup and ongoing administration of employee-related taxes.

The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of payroll and people management experience and be fluent in English and Hungarian.

Your tasks will be as a Payroll Supervisor:

  • Lead and oversee international payroll processes, including manual checks and issue resolution
  • Supervise, coach, and develop the payroll team
  • Ensure payroll tax compliance, handle notices, audits, and amendments
  • Maintain accurate payroll and employee tax data, including expatriates and foreign nationals
  • Manage third‑party payroll/tax vendors and partnership with internal stakeholders
  • Drive continuous process improvements and escalate complex issues as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong international payroll knowledge with 5–7 years’ experience
  • Fluency in English and Hungarian
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office; knowledge of ERP systems (Workday, Kronos, Celergo, Horizon) is an advantage
  • High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to create/maintain payroll controls
  • Proven leadership abilities with strong organizational and time‑management skills
