Infrastructure Architect
On behalf of our long-term, stable and dynamically growing partner, we are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect with strong expertise in on‑premise datacenter technologies. Our client is a 170‑employee, manager- and employee‑owned organization, serving more than 50 returning corporate customers. They focus on developing and operating enterprise-grade applications and business process automation solutions.
The new team member will play a key architectural role in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex on-premise infrastructure environments, working closely with internal IT teams and key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement on-premise datacenter solutions with high scalability, security, and availability
- Design and manage virtualization environments (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper‑V)
- Develop and maintain enterprise network architecture, including routing, switching, and security
- Implement and optimize SAN/NAS storage solutions, ensuring redundancy and performance
- Define and enforce backup and disaster recovery strategies using industry-leading tools
- Architect solutions leveraging Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and SQL Server
- Conduct infrastructure performance assessments and capacity planning
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional IT teams and business stakeholders
- Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation and technical specifications
Requirements:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in an Infrastructure Architect or similar senior infrastructure role
- Strong expertise in on-premise datacenter architecture and enterprise-grade operations
- Deep knowledge of VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper‑V
- Hands-on experience with SAN/NAS storage technologies, backup platforms, and disaster recovery planning
- Advanced proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and SQL Server
- Solid understanding of network architecture (VLANs, firewalls, load balancing)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage multiple parallel projects

- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server / Azure Solutions Architect Expert
