We are looking for a Statutory Accountant to join our multinational partner’s growing team.
The Statutory Accountant supports the preparation of statutory financial reporting and audit activities within the EMEA Center of Excellence.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in audit or in a statutory accounting role and is fluent in English.
Your tasks will be as a Statutory Accountant:
Statutory Reporting & Local GAAP Compliance
- Support GAAP-to-local statutory reconciliations and local GAAP adjustments.
- Review group trial balances and assist with reclassifications and corrections.
- Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, deadlines, and documentation standards.
- Assist with statutory filings, including coordination of legal documentation and approvals.
- Provide local GAAP results and statutory data to support tax calculations and filings.
Audit Management & External Auditor Coordination
- Support statutory audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
- Coordinate, track, and review audit deliverables to ensure timely and accurate submission.
- Provide explanations and analytical support for audit queries, escalating complex issues as needed.
Process Improvement & Regional Initiatives
- Support standardization and documentation of statutory reporting processes.
- Identify and assist in implementing process improvements and best practices.
- Contribute to regional initiatives such as legal entity rationalization and statutory tool implementation.
- Support improvements in data quality, transparency, and efficiency within statutory reporting.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or audit
- Strong understanding of statutory accounting principles.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
- Fluent English
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with internal controls and compliance.
