On behalf of our key client, we are seeking a talented and experienced Finance Manager to lead financial operations in Hungary.
This is a unique opportunity to join a real global organization in the oil and gas industry, based in the heart of Budapest. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting activities for the Hungarian entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, accurate reporting, and close collaboration with international teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee local financial statements and audits under Hungarian GAAP
- Ensure compliance with Hungarian tax laws and internal controls
- Prepare monthly and annual reports under US GAAP (Management Reporting)
- Lead annual planning and financial analysis
- Act as a business partner – collaborate with teams worldwide (Europe-wide; United Arab Emirates, India)
- Supervise the Hungarian finance team and foster a high-performance culture
- Ensure effective use of ERP systems (e.g., JDE) and support improvements
Qualifications:
- BA degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA qualification required (strong understanding of local accounting standards)
- Experience in US GAAP reporting
- 10 years of financial management experience
- Multinational or regional experience preferred – ability to operate daily in a matrix organization
- Experience in a Big 4 or public accounting firm is a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- ERP experience, ideally JDE
