On behalf of our publicly listed, US-owned client, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead a dynamic financial operation of nearly 20 professionals, including four direct reports.
This high-impact role offers the opportunity to operate in a truly international environment, with exposure to cross-border projects and oversight of outsourced accounting for foreign subsidiaries.
While the scope is global, the Budapest-based office maintains a human-centered culture, where the Finance Manager plays a key strategic role within a 90-person local operation.
The position combines leadership, financial stewardship, and cross-functional collaboration, making it ideal for professionals seeking both complexity and meaningful contribution.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to ensure robust planning and risk mitigation
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Accountant and Financial Project Managers to support financial operations and project execution
- Coordinate financial reporting, month-end and year-end closings, and audit processes in compliance with local and US GAAP
- Act as a strategic financial business partner, supporting cross-functional teams and contributing to project delivery
- Lead financial planning and analysis to drive profitability and enhance business performance
- Develop and enforce financial policies aligned with corporate objectives and regulatory standards.
- Manage financial and accounting operations across international subsidiaries within an SSC environment.
- Support ERP system enhancements from a financial perspective.
- Foster regional collaboration and lead initiatives in process optimization and automation.
Expectations:
- Relevant professional background combined with leadership experience (10+ years)
- Relevant higher qualification (Finance, Accounting ) and CPA
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluent in English at a business negotiation level
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- Quick adaptability, with prior experience in matrix organizational structures
