New vacancy for a Management Accountant in Redhill. This role is in charge of financial accounting and reporting for a commercial business. Salary £40,000-£47,500, depending on experience. This position operates in a regulated, fast-moving and competitive industry – experience of working in a similar environment is essential.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Continuously improve/challenge/review financial accounting and reporting processes and systems, including information processed by/received from other Finance teams and Operational departments
- Supervise Financial Reporting Analysts. Ensure the development of personal and professional attributes of team members to meet current and future needs
- Produce/review monthly financial reports (P&L, Working Capital, Cashflow statement) as required by the Business
- Work closely with other Finance teams and Operational departments to develop/improve margin and cost analysis, including variance analysis with budget
- Perform/review required reconciliations: Balance sheet recs, intra-company recs and bank recs
- Prepare/review tax calculations and postings (including VAT, CCL and Corporation Tax)
- Maintain accounting and reporting system, including chart of accounts, cost centers, vendor master data, etc.) in coordination with the Corporate Finance team based in London
- Prepare/review statutory accounts in coordination with the Corporate Finance team based in London
- Main point of contact for external auditors and for Corporate Finance team based in London
- Undertake/contribute to ad-hoc projects as required.
You will also be accountable for providing the Directors, Head of Finance and Senior Management Team with the data and insights required to understand and manage the business’s performance.

The ideal candidate must:
- Have previous experience working in financial accounting and reporting roles, ideally in the commercial industries
- Be highly numerate with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Be reliable, proactive and able to use own initiative
- Possess excellent IT skills, including Access and Excel
- Posses excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to present confidently to the Senior Management Team
- Have line manager experience and a team-player attitude
